Shared Data Models: Data Harmonisation
The challenge:
Address the inconsistency of health data storage across Australian regions, making it time-consuming for researchers to clean and understand the data before cross-regional study.
The approach:
- Investigated the prevalence of jurisdictional data warehouses
- Confirmed what data standards are used in the warehouses and what are their future plans
- Identified steps for greater data harmonisation
