Data discovery

Explore the Metadata Platform and Data Linkage Unit websites to find which datasets are available for linkage.

Pathways to accessing data

The data you are interested in for your linked data research project may be found in multiple data sources. For example, state/territory-based dataset, national dataset and state or national linked data assets.

Dataset granularity, date range available for research, and overall project timeframes and costs are impacted by which data source the data is coming from.

The PHRN Client Services team can advise on which data source may best suit your research needs. It is recommended that you talk to PHRN about your project early to understand the feasibility of your research project and the optimal linkage pathway.

Free training

The PHRN have developed free online training to help researchers better understand linked data and navigate the access and approval process. If you are new to data linkage, or would like to learn more, we recommend you complete the training before preparing your linkage application.
